Vélirium and World Cup
From August 5th to 6th, mountain bikes fans from all Québec province are heading to the Mont-Sainte-Anne for the Vélirium: Mountain Bike World Cup, amateur races and a crazy atmosphere for this unique event.
Downhill World cup – saturday August 5th
Downhill World Cup is a race against the clock in which the rider negotiates a succession of fast and technical passages, usually within 4 minutes. The participant must demonstrate courage as well as sharp technical and piloting skills in order to make their way through tree roots, banked sections, bumps, jumps and other natural obstacles. With many technical sections and high-speed portions, Mont Sainte-Anne’s downhill course is one of the most physically demanding on the World cup circuit.
xc world cup – Sunday August 6th
The UCI Cross-country Word Cup is a mass start race held over undulating circuits with technical descents, forest roads, rocky paths and obstacles which riders must complete 5 to 7 times. The Elite racing times, for men and women, vary from 1h 30 minutes to 1h 45 minutes.To add excitement to the race this season, Mont-Sainte-Anne’s loop course will stretch over a length of 4 km and will include a rock garden and as well as a pumptrack!
Vélo Mag Raid – saturday August 5th
A unique cross-country challenge at Mont-Sainte-Anne with a great mix of single tracks. Choose between three distances!
Véli Kidz Race – Saunday August 6th
